Welcome to my blog where I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the game of lacrosse with everyone. I am a former coach with experience as both a player and coach at the youth, high school and collegiate levels. To start off I would like to let everyone know I am new to blogging so please bare with me as I get comfortable with my new hobby.
Lacrosse is a game that is constantly evolving in the way it is played. Because of that there are countless playing and coaching styles that all fit differently with each player and coach. I will be the first to admit I do not believe that my philosophy and methods are the only correct way to coach and teach. Because there are a endless coaching styles and game plans that can provide positive outcomes, everyone needs to find what works best for you and your team. I encourage anyone who wants to share their ideas and beliefs to do so in the comments at the bottom of each post as more often the not the best strategy for you is a blend of two or three other people’s concepts and viewpoints.
Over time I will add new posts detailing everything from offensive and defensive sets to rides and clears to practice plans and individual drills that I would like to share with everyone. As a player and a coach I was always interested in ways I could improve in my spare time. Whenever I went looking for drills or plays, it always seemed as if there was a lack of shared knowledge about lacrosse online so I decided I want to do something about it. Due to a family choice which I have detailed in My Story post, this is my first season where I am not either coaching or playing is 17 years, so I decided what better way to stay involved then to share my knowledge of lacrosse with anyone searching for assistance. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read my thoughts and ideas regarding the sport I love and I look for to learning from everyone in the comments!
